Divine Metal & Alloy One of the benefits of using the 2.4858 Incoloy 825 Round Bar is its high resistance to corrosion. Incoloy 825 has a high content nickel along with having a very stable austenite structure. This high nickel content in the Incoloy Alloy 825 Bar has good resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking.
Apart from nickel, the additions of metals like molybdenum and copper enable the Incoloy 825 Rods to resist reductive containing agents and acids. Chromium in the ASTM B425 Gr 825 offers resistance to oxidising conditions, such as nitric acid solutions, nitrates and oxidising salts. The alloy is stabilised by the addition of titanium .Stabilizing the Incoloy 825 Bar is known to resist pitting and intergranular attack that could take place after fabrication. This also includes welding, during which, the Alloy 825 Round Bar reaches a the critical sensitisation temperature range between 650°C – 760°C, when the alloy is heated.
